Wontumi–Samreboi Case: I am withdrawing from the case as counsel-Lawyer Appiah Kubi
Lawyer for Chairman Wontumi in the Same rebuild case Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi has announced his withdrawal from the case as Counsel to accused.
He disclosed this in an interview on Thursday on Ekosi sen on Asempa fm.
“I have informed my client, Chairman Wontumi, and the court. My reasons will be made known in court, but I believe there are too many unseen influences surrounding the case, and I find the judge’s conduct throughout the proceedings unacceptable.” Andy Appiah-Kubi Esq said.
His withdrawal is coming on the back of the judgment day scheduled for July 3.
Many are reading meanings into his decision-some of which suggest that Lawyer Appiah Kubi is aware his client will not evade conviction.
