The CEO of Kufour Foundation, Prof. Baffour Agyemang Duah has stated that the government can do something more meaningful than just bringing students to March on the scorching sun on 6th March Celebrations.
The government Expert stressed that observing the Day itself was not a bad thing adding however that the resources and energy could have been channeled through educational activities such as seminars, debates and lectures on the Independence Day Celebration.
Prof. Agyemang Duah was speaking on TV3 in an interview.
“If we bring educational component to it[Independence Day Celebration ] it will be more meaningful than just letting people March on this scorching sun.
He therefore urged governments to, henceforth, make the Celebration more meaningful and useful to Ghanaians than just marching.
